2024 Washington Brazil Conference

The Washington Brazil Office (WBO) and Georgetown University held the “2024 Washington Brazil Conference” on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, featuring the panel “The Rise of the Far Right: Challenges to Democracy in Brazil and Abroad” in the Arrupe Multipurpose Room at Georgetown, Washington. Flávia Pellegrino, Executive Director of Pacto pela Democracia, was one of the speakers at the event on the panel.

Flávia spoke about the Brazilian experience alongside Guilherme Casarões, Professor of International Relations at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) in São Paulo, and Professor Elcior Santana from Georgetown University. The full event can be viewed here:
