Flávia Pellegrino, Executive Director of the Pacto pela Democracia, is a guest on the new season of the international podcast Thank You Democracy, produced by the Global Democracy Coalition. In the episode, Flávia talks about the path that led her to democratic activism, the challenges faced by Brazilian civil society, and the importance of strengthening trust in democracy from the ground up.
“Democracy gave my generation the chance to build and dream of a society rooted in peace, dignity, and freedom. But it is never guaranteed — it is a daily commitment,” Flávia states during the conversation.
For her, democracy’s strength lies in dialogue: “We bring together conservatives, progressives, business leaders, and grassroots activists because we all agree on one thing — protecting democracy is worth it.”
